The subject is concieved as theoretical and practical, describes the system of nursing care in the Czech republic (process, diagnosis, interventions), the patient needs and holistic approaches to health care. Part of the seminar is also training practical nursing skills on models.

Learning goals of the subject:
Students acquire the theoretical knowledge necessary to perform basic and specialized nursing procedures.
Students are able to perform nursing procedures correctly.
Students are able to maintain clean approach during nursing procedures.
Students are able to maintain aseptic approach during nursing procedures.
Students learn the principles of an individualized holistic approach to patients during simulated situations.

THE COURSE IS CONCLUDED WITH CREDIT.
Before each seminar, the student is required to successfully complete the theoretical preparation for the given topic, including a test in the Moodle course: Basics for Patient Care.
Credit will be awarded for 100% participation in the seminars and successful completion of all partial tests during the semester.
