The aim of the course is to introduce students to the issue of genetics and the description of general laws characterizing heredity and variability. The student can correctly define and use professional terminology (sign, gene...) The student can describe the cell cycle, describe the principles of genetic information transfer. The student knows the basic methods of genetic screening, has an overview of genetically determined defects and diseases, can describe the risks of their occurrence. The student can explain the importance of monitoring genetically determined diseases in relation to the health status of the population.
