The course is taught in Czech.
During lessons students listen to selected chapters from ancient political, cultural and economical history, ancient mythology and geography, this all in context with history of the Mediterranean. Reception of classical tradition in history and culture of Europe is mentioned briefly, too. The approach is chronologic from the beginnings of the Greek civilisation during Cyclads culture, to Mycenean culture, "dark era", archaic, classic and hellenistic Greece. |
