Předmět navazuje na předměty Tlumočení I. a Tlumočení II. Cílem je další rozvoj profesionálních komunikačních a tlumočnických kompetencí. Studenti konsekutivně tlumočí z francouzštiny do mateřštiny i obráceně monologické a dialogické projevy segmentované do 3-4 minutových úseků. Obsahem předmětu je rovněž tlumočení z listu do mateřštiny.
Pro splnění zápočtu se požaduje min. 75% docházka, aktivní účast ve formě referátů, vypracování terminologických glosářů a další úkoly dle instrukcí z hodiny.
Důraz je kladen na rozvoj strategických tlumočnických postupů, na analýzu tlumočnických výkonů studentů a na terminologickou přípravu na konkrétní témata. Projevy pokrývají různé tematické okruhy (aktuality, politická a ekonomická témata, Evropská unie, mezinárodní vztahy, kultura, historie, vzdělávání, životní prostředí, věda a technika, zdraví).
