A semester course for the wide public realized on weekly basis with hourly dotation of 4 classroom hours per week, organized on Friday evenings so that wide public including people with daytime jobs and secondary school students can attend. Organized in 12 installments during the winter term, starting typically in Novembere. The aim of the course is to provide the participants with an ovierview of basic historical and teoretical insights of the field, ranging from introduction to the theory of film to intro into visual imaging, to historical overview of the history of world and Czech cinema; the course introduce them some to the problem areas associated with the history and theory of film, the basis of film language and give them the tools to interpret film. The courses are taught mainly by the film studies faculty. There are no entrance exams nor prerquisites limiting the enrollment of the course. |
