| The content of the course, entitled "Man, Biblical Ethics and the Challenges of Today", concerns the nature of humanity, its potential, and limitations. The course examines humanity concerning self-knowledge, self-acceptance, relationships, partnerships, and family. It also considers the public space, life within the community, and society. Finally, the course addresses the relationship of the human being to the natural and artificial world. The relationship between the human being and the transcendentals will be considered and discussed in light of one of the normative Sources that the Bible has become. This will be presented as a framework of thought and value, amenable to conversation within the humanities, natural sciences, and engineering. Together, we will seek shared values that contribute to human cohesion and social sustainability. | |||||||||
