Programme profile:	1. Introduction to Japanese Culture (in-person course) 2. The main goal of the course is to provide student interested in Japanese affairs with the introduction to the various aspects of the Japanese culture and contemporary society. The course consists of four blocks of lectures in Japanese history, literature, thought, culture and society. In 16 lectures the student can get the general outline of the Japanese culture (in the broad sense) from ancient times to the modern and contemporary period. 3. No particular knowledge of Japanese language, history, culture and society is required for attending the course, however, the general knowledge corresponding to the high school level is recommended. 4. The course consists of four blocks of four intensive lectures starting on February 2025. The blocks of lectures will be delivered monthly on Saturdays from 9:00 to 16:15 5.
