| A one-semester course in the Introduction to Protestant Theology I program in the winter semester of AR 2024/25 focuses on Judaism as a cultural, ethnic, confessional, and political phenomenon. | |

| It takes place on Fridays in the ETF UK building from 5:10 pm to 4:40 pm. 4.10. 2024 History of Judaism I (from biblical times to the Middle Ages) 18.10. 2024 History of Judaism II (figures and movements from the late Middle Ages to to the present) 8.11. 2024 History of Jews in our country (Jewish communities in our area from the earliest mentions to the flowering in the Rudolphine era and in the 19th and 20th centuries, destroyed by World War II - and today) 29.11. 2024 Judaism and the State of Israel (religious aspects of Zionism, the emergence of State of Israel; the changing relationship between religion and secularism) 20.12. 2024 Jewish mysticism (forms, figures, ideas and manifestations of Jewish spirituality from biblical times to modern Hasidism) 10.1. 2025 Jewish Holidays I (pilgrimage holidays: Passover, Shavuot, Sukkot; high Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur; historical holidays: Purim and Hanukkah) 24.1. 2025 Jewish holidays II (meaning, symbolism and tradition of celebrating Shabbat; the Shma Yisrael invocation and daily prayer) |
