Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
Aim of this PhD project is the design and synthesis of inhibitors targeting essential fungal enzymes, which are crucial for the survival of pathogenic fungi. Acetohydroxyacid synthase, the first enzyme in the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids, will be included among the potential targets. We also plan the synthesis of prodrugs derived from FDA approved compounds to improve their pharmacokinetic profile.
