Jak funguje eukaryot bez mitochondrií? Jak jsou syntetizovány základní kofaktory proteinů, Fe-S centra? K vyřešení hádanky, jak evoluce eliminovala mitochondrie z prvoka Monocercomonoides exilis, používáme molekulární a biochemické techniky. Při práci na projektu se naučíte molekulární klonování a expresi proteinů v prokaryotech a eukaryotech, kultivace, imunofluorescenční mikroskopii, imunoprecipitaci a další techniky. Preliminary scope of work in English
How does a eukaryote function without mitochondria? How are the essential cofactors of proteins, Fe-S clusters, synthesised? We use molecular and biochemical techniques to solve the riddle of how evolution eliminated mitochondria from Monocercomonoides exilis. While working on the project, you would learn molecular cloning and protein expression in prokaryotes and eukaryotes, cell culture, immunofluorescence microscopy, immunoprecipitation amongst others.
