Studium konformačního a asociačního chování amphifilních blokových a roubovaných kopolymerů ve vodných roztocích a jejich interakce se surfaktanty a dalšími nízkomolekulárními i vysokomolekulárními látkami (včetně nanočástic). Budou studovány jednak modelové systémy a jednak systémy potenciálně využitelné v medicíně (popř. v dalších nanotechnologiích) - např. jako nosiče léčiv, senzory, kontrastní látky apod. Ke studiu bude využita řada experimentálních technik. Kromě chování kopolymerů a jimi tvořených nanočástic v roztoku budou také studovány interakce polymerních řetězců s povrchy. Vedle charakterizačních technik (SEC, NMR apod.), budou používány matody statického a dynamického rozptylu světla, stacionární a časově rozlišené spektroskopie a zobrazovací techniky (AFM, TEM).
Preliminary scope of work in English
Study of the conformatioal and self-assembling behavior of amphiphilic block and graft copolymers in aqueous solutions and their interaction with surfactants and other low-molar-mass and high-molar-mass compounds (including nanoparticles). The study will address both the model systems and systems with potential applications in medicine and in nanotechnologies (as components in drug carrier systems, sensors, contrast agents, etc.). Besides the studies of solution properties, the interaction of copolymer chains with surfaces will be also studied. A number of experimental methods will be used in the study, e.g., SEC, NMR (for characterization), static and dynamic light scattering, steady-state and time-resolved fluorescence (for the study of solution properties) and imaging (AFM and TEM) for visualization of structures either adsobed or deposited at he surfaces.
