Preliminary scope of work

Samčí sexuální chování u plazů je tradičně spojováno s aktivačními účinky androgenů. Hormonální kontrola však může být složitější a recentní práce poukazují například na úlohu organizace. Cílem práce je postihnout základní principy hormonální kontroly samčího sexuálního chování (se zvláštním zřetelem na úlohu androgenů) a shrnout poznatky o tomto tématu u plazů.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Male sexual behaviour in reptiles use to be attributed to activational effects of androgens. However, hormonal control can be more complicated, and recent evidence points to the role of organization as well. The aim of the study is to review basic concepts of hormonal (especially androgenal) control of male sexual behaviour and evidence on this topic in reptiles.
