Preliminary scope of work

Gekoni jsou skupinou s velkou rozmanitostí ve způsobech určování pohlaví. Některé druhy mají teplotně-určené pohlaví, jiné genotypicky určené pohlaví a to typu XX/XY i ZZ/ZW. Cílem práce je shrnout poznatky o fylogenezi skupiny a trendech ve způsobu určování pohlaví a v evoluci karyotypu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Gekkotan lizards exhibit high variability in sex-determining mechanisms. Some species possess temperature-dependent sex determination, the others have genotypic sex determination with ZZ/ZW or XX/XY sex chromosomes. The aim of the stuidy is to review phylogenetic relationships within gekkotan lizards and the evolutionary trends in sex determination and karyotype changes in this group.
