| Diplomová práce „Politická mobilizace v České republice po roce 1998. Role protestních hnutí a iniciativ ve společnosti“ se zabývá protestními hnutími a iniciativami v České republice po roce 1998. Zařazuje je do systému reprezentace zájmů a nahlíží na jejich roli v systému České republiky. Pomocí teorií kolektivního chování vymezuje „stará“ a „nová“ sociální hnutí a představuje 5 modů aktivismu, které se ustálily na české aktivistické scéně. Jejich pomocí ilustruje sílu mobilizace a kritérium hodnocení kvality občanské společnosti. Práce vymezuje pojem nového transakčního aktivismu a jeho transakční kapacity, zabývá se také internetem jako prostředkem mobilizace. V praktické části jsou zařazeny případové studie o výzvě „Děkujeme, odejděte!“, o krizovém dění v České televizi na přelomu let 2000 a 2001, o protestech spojených s členstvím České republiky v Evropské unii, protestech proti výstavbě radarové základny USA v Brdech a proti státním maturitním zkouškám. Zkoumá povahu hnutí, výsledky protestu a ilustruje posun ve významu masovosti mobilizace
a individuální participace a náhled, podle kterého i společnost neschopná masové mobilizace může disponovat kvalitní strukturou občanské společnosti. |

| Diploma thesis "Political Mobilization in the Czech Republic after 1998. Role of the Protest Movements and Initiatives in the Society" deals with protest movements and initiatives in the Czech Republic after 1998. They are classified within the system of representation of interests, with regard to its role in the system of the Czech Republic. Using the theory
of collective behavior, the thesis defines "old" and "new" social movements and introduces 5 modes of activism, which have stabilized in the Czech activist scene. These illustrate the power of mobilization and the criterion of quality assessment of civil society. The study defines a concept of new transactional activism and its transactional capacity, also deals with the Internet as a means of mobilization. In the practical part, case studies on topics of protest call „Thanks, now leave!“, crisis events in the Czech television in late 2000 and 2001, the protests associated with the Czech Republic's membership in the European Union, protests against the construction of U. S. radar base in Brdy and against state graduation exams, are included. We examine nature of the movements, results of protests and illustrate the shift in the importance of mass mobilization and individual participation along with the view, according to which even society incapable of mass mobilization can dispose of a good structure of civil society. |
