Preliminary scope of work

Magisterská diplomová práce je zaměřena na problematiku fylogeografie a populační ekologii nelétavých chrobákovitých brouků (Coleoptera: Geotrupidae) z rodu Lethrus Scopoli, 1777 (Geoptrupidae: Lethrinae). Cílem DP je za pomocí molekulárních markerů (mtDNA a jaderné DNA) objasnit fylogeografii a populační strukturu několika druhů tohoto rodu v oblasti východního mediteránu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Master thesis is focused on phylogeography and population ecology of apterous dung beetles (Coleoptera: Geotrupidae), namely the geotrupid genus Lethrus Scopoli, 1777 (Geoptrupidae: Lethrinae). The aim of the project is to examine the phylogeography and population structure of several dung beetle species of the genus in the east-Meditteranean region using the molecular markers (mtDNA and nuclear DNA).
