Kritický přehled současného stavu znalostí o historické minulosti netopýrů rodu Plecotus v Evropě, s přehledem existujících fosilních dokladů a se zvláštním zřetelem k současným názorům na druhovou strukturu rodu a fylogenetické vztahy jednotlivých druhových okruhů.

A critical review of current state of knowledge on history of the bat genus Plecotus in Europe with a list of actual fossil records and with particular attention to the recent concepts of taxonomic diversity of the genus and fylogenetic relations among particular infrageneric taxa.
