When using multiple IT devices, an interaction between them in various ways is needed, such as copying personal data or using a service of one device from another. If we want to avoid using Cloud services for this purpose, the devices need to communicate directly. The goal of this thesis is creating a framework that solves these problems and allows for building more features on top of it. Specifically, the following aspects and scenarios should be addressed:
- Discovery of paired devices on the local network and establishing secure communication - Managing list of devices that are owned by a single user and are part of a device group, without single source of truth - User-friendly addition of devices to the network - Removal of a device from the network, considering both cooperative and non-cooperative scenarios - Exploring approaches that do not require keeping the whole history of the network |
