Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
The aim of this thesis is to develop a theoretical framework that could serve as a foundation for ethically oriented approaches in psychotherapeutic practice, particularly in guiding clients on issues related to a meaningful and fulfilled life.
The central hypothesis is that it is possible to define a comprehensive and objective framework for the "good life," drawing primarily on virtue ethics, existential psychology, and positive psychology. While virtue ethics emphasizes character development and the attainment of eudaimonia through values and moral responsibility, existential psychology—closely linked to logotherapy—focuses on the search for meaning, values, and personal authenticity in the face of difficult life situations. Lastly, positive psychological theories often highlight measurable dimensions of happiness and well-being, which can provide an empirical foundation for an objective definition of the "good life."
