| Cieľom práce je oboznámiť sa a prehľadne sumarizovať rôzne postupy používané ku kvantifikácii asymetrie rozdelení náhodných veličín. Asi najčastejšie používanou mierou asymetrie
je tzv. šikmosť, ale v literatúre existuje množstvo alternatívných postupov a rôznych zovšeobecnení. Súčasťou práce by malo byť jednak teoretické porovnanie základných vlastností rôznych mier asymetrie, ale tiež empirické porovnanie ich fungovania v prípadne konečne-rozmerných náhodných výberov z daného rozdelenia. |

| In a univariate setting there is a near unanimous agreement on the notion of skewness.
Nevertheless, many more skewness measures, or also called asymmetry measures (or indices) exist and each of them has its own benefits (and obvious drawbacks). |
