Tato diplomová práce analyzuje, jak britská online média zobrazovala monarchii v letech 2021 až 2023, přičemž se zaměřuje na události, jako je smrt prince Filipa, platinové jubileum královny Alžběty II., její odchod a nástup krále Karla III. na trůn. Zkoumá témata a sentimenty spojené s monarchií a jejími panovníky a zaměřuje se na to, jak média tyto události rámují a jak se vyvíjí vnímání budoucnosti monarchie. Kvantitativní a kvalitativní analýza je použita ke studiu článků z deníků The Guardian, The Independent a The Times.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This thesis analyzes how British online media portrayed the monarchy from 2021 to 2023, focusing on events such as Prince Philip’s death, Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee, her passing, and King Charles III’s ascension. It examines the themes and sentiments associated with the monarchy and its rulers, exploring how the media framed these events and the evolving perceptions of the monarchy’s future. Quantitative and qualitative analysis is used to study articles from The Guardian, The Independent, and The Times.
