Preliminary scope of work

Parametry chemická spotřeba kyslíku a celkový organický uhlík se používají ke stanovení množství organických látek ve vodách, nicméně jejich výsledky nejsou srovnatelné. Navíc se poměr mezi těmito dvěma parametry ve vodách o různém složení organických látek liší. Cílem práce je stanovit poměr mezi těmito dvěma parametry v různých typech přírodních vod a zhodnotit závislost tohoto poměru na dalších sledovaných parametrech (UV absorbance, množství celkového a organického dusíku atd.).

Preliminary scope of work in English

Parameters of chemical oxygen demand and total organic carbon are widely used for the determination of organic carbon content in waters. Nevertheless, their results are not comparable. Moreover, the ratio between these two parameters differs in waters of different compositions of organic compounds. The aim of the thesis is to determine the ratio between these two parameters in various types of natural waters and to evaluate the dependence of the ratio on other parameters (UV absorbance, the amount of total and organic nitrogen etc.).
