Preliminary scope of work

Hlavním cílem bakalářské práce je analyzovat vývoj pěstování a územní diferenciaci produkce geneticky modifikovaných plodin ve světě a analyzovat změny podílu geneticky modifikovaných plodin na celosvětové produkci plodin. V obecné rovině se autorka zaměří na hledání faktorů podmiňujících prostorovou diferenciaci pěstování geneticky modifikovaných plodin a odlišné postoje k pěstování těchto plodin u vybraných skupin států, zejména států Evropské unie a USA. Dalším cílem je zjistit, které geneticky modifikované plodiny jsou nejčastěji pěstovány a jak jsou využívány. K analýze budou použita data z dostupných databází (zejm. FAO) a rešerše odborné literatury k danému tématu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The main objective of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the development of cultivation and territorial differentiation of the production of genetically modified crops in the world, to analyze the changes in the share of genetically modified crops in the global crop production. In general terms, the author will focus on the search for factors determining the spatial differentiation of GM crop cultivation and different attitudes towards the cultivation of these crops in selected groups of countries, especially the European Union and the USA. Another objective is to find out which GM crops are most commonly grown and how they are used. Data from available databases (especially FAO) and literature searches on the subject will be used for the analysis.
