Rostliny jsou ve výuce biologie pro žáky často méně oblíbenou a špatně zapamatovatelnou učební látkou. Nenabízí příliš mnoho po stránce interaktivity, a žáci tak vnímají, stejně jako jakýkoli pozorovatel v přírodě, především jejich vzhled. Nakonec se při zkoumání mohou i různé rostlinné druhy jevit studentům tvarově totožné, což může vést k mylnému předpokladu, že druhová různorodost prvotních rostlin je menší než ve skutečnosti je. Lze tedy vyvodit, že důležitou roli při jejich poznávání a určování hraje vizualita. Bakalářská práce se bude rešeršní formou zabývat otázkou využití piktogramů rostlin ve výuce botaniky, které by zjednodušenou a zábavnou formou, jako didaktická pomůcka, usnadnily studentům poznávání rozdílů mezi rostlinami. Teorie práce se opírá o poznatky o vizuálním způsobu učení a poznatky o učení se a o chápání za pomoci piktogramů. Téma je úzce propojeno a navazuje na studie, které kladou důraz na důležitost hlavních poznávacích znaků, ze kterých jsou piktogramy odvozovány, a které jsou rovněž velmi důležité při chápání různorodosti rostlin a z toho vyplývající možnosti jejich rozpoznávání. Téma bylo inspirováno také problematikou známou jako „plant blidness“ ve výuce biologie. V současné době není známa studie, která by se zabývala řešením tohoto problému výuky botaniky pomocí piktogramů rostlin.
Preliminary scope of work in English
In the teaching of biology, plants are frequently a less popular and difficult-to-remember teaching topic for students. They offer rather little in the way of interactivity, and the students, like any observer in nature, perceive their appearance primarily. As a result, during the initial assessment, even different plant species may appear identical in appearance to the student, leading to the incorrect impression that plant diversity is more limited than it is in reality. Therefore, it can be argued that visuality plays a crucial part in their recognition and identification. The bachelor's thesis will investigate the possibilities of employing plant pictograms in the teaching of botany, which would make it easier for students to recognize the distinctions between specific plant species. The philosophy of work is based on knowledge of the visual learning style and on learning and understanding with the use of pictograms. Thesis objectives are tightly linked to studies that underline the significance of the primary identifying characteristics from which pictograms are generated and which are also crucial to understanding the diversity of plants and the consequent recognition possibilities. The topic was also inspired by the problem known in biology teaching as "plant blidness." There is currently no known research addressing the issue of teaching botany using plant pictograms.
