Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
Mammalian cell migration is perceived in a clear causal link with rearrangement of an actomyosine network. However, the latest scientific records suggest that microtubules and intermediate filaments also play a key role in the cell migration. This thesis summarizes the role of intermediate filaments in mammalian cell motility - in cell motion per se as well as their role in the formation of cellular adhesions during migration.
