Guidelines |
Soft fiber-reinforced materials are omnipresent in nature, including biological tissues. Moreover, there is increasing interest in such materials in the industry for applications in, e.g., soft robotics. However, often, the bending stiffness of the fibers is neglected in the constitutive models.
Therefore, the aim of this diploma thesis will be to proof the regularizing effect of the bending energy leading to the existence of a solution implement model of material with bending stiffness of fibers and compare it to a model without the bending effect study the influence of bending energy on the onset of bifurcation such as wrinkles using the theory of incremental deformations. The coadvisor will be Dr. M. Horák, Fac. Civil Engrg. CTU. |
