Guidelines
Student will process data from coincidence experiments (multistep gamma cascades from DANCE detector at Los Alamos, two step gamma cascades from measurement at Rez near Prague) that allow getting information on gamma decay of highly-excited states. Experimental data will be tested against simulations of gamma decay within the statistical model of nucleus. Such a comparison allows to make significant restrictions on acceptable level density and gamma-ray strength function models and on the validity of the statistical model of nucleus itself.

Preliminary scope of work
