Preliminary scope of work

Cílem práce je porovnat informace o galikánské liturgii roztroušené v historickém díle sv. Řehoře z Tours (O boji králů a údělu spravedlivých: Kronika Franků. Dějiny v deseti knihách, Odeon 1986 / Argo 2006) se standardními liturgickými učebnicemi. Nejprve budou ve stručnosti uvedeny reálie Řehořovy doby a jeho života, včetně uvedení zkoumaného díla. Následně bude krátce popsán liturgický vývoj na Západě do zániku galikánské liturgii ve Francké říši. Stěžejní částí budou samotné epizody z kroniky, ve kterých jsou obsaženy liturgické úkony. Kapitola bude obsahovat jejich výčet a porovnání s jinými díly, které se zabývají galikánskou liturgií.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of this work is to compare the information about the Gallican liturgy scattered in the historical work of St. Gregory of Tours (On the Struggle of Kings and the Fate of the Just: The Chronicle of the Franks. A History in Ten Books, Odeon 1986 / Argo 2006) with standard liturgical textbooks. First, the realities of Gregory's time and life will be briefly presented, including an introduction to the work under examination. Then the liturgical development in the West until the demise of the Gallican liturgy in the Frankish Empire will be briefly described. The central part will be the episodes from the Chronicle itself in which the liturgical acts are contained. The chapter will list them and compare them with other works dealing with Gallican liturgy.
