Preliminary scope of work

Cílem práce bude identifikovat roli mitochondrií při vývoji a diferenciaci buněk kvasinkových patogenů, především klinických izolátů Saccharomyces cerevisiae a Candida glabrata. Práce bude zahrnovat spektrum molekulárně-biologický a biochemických metod, včetně konstrukce mutovaných kmenů a kmenů s vybranými proteiny značenými fluorescenčně, in situ analýzy populací biofilmů těchto kmenů i jejich další charakterizace různými metodami, včetně OMICs technik.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of the work is to identify a role of mitochondria in the development and differentiation of yeast pathogens, especially clinical isolates of Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida glabrata. Spectrum of different approaches will be used during the project, including construction of knockout strains and strains with proteins labeled with fluorescent tags and characterization of biofilm populations by various methods, including OMICs techniques.
