Preliminary scope of work

6S RNA, transkript regulující přechod do stacionární fáze vývoje u bakterií, má vždy podobnou sekundární strukturu.
Na základě tohoto faktu bylo bioinformatickým přístupem předpovězeno vícero 6S-like genů v genomu streptomycet a exprese většiny z nich byla i potvrzena.
Cílem práce je zmapovat expresní profily těchto 6S-like RNA a analyzovat fenotypový projev mutantů nadprodukujících tento transkript.

Preliminary scope of work in English

6S RNA is a transcript regulating the transition to the stationary phase in bacterial development.
Due to its function this transcript forms a similar secondary structure across different bacterial strains. Based on this fact, several 6S-like genes in the genome of streptomycetes were predicted using the bioinformatic approach and the expression of most of them was also confirmed.
The aim of this work is to map out the expression profiles of these 6S-like RNAs and to analyze phenotypic changes of mutants overproducing this transcript.
