Preliminary scope of work

Shrnout současné poznatky o evoluci určení pohlaví a pohlavních chromosomů hadů. Práce se bude zabývat rychlostí evoluce genů vázaných na pohlavní chromosomy, evolucí zamezení rekombinace mezi pohlavními chromosomy, kompenzací genové dávky, znalostí o genech determinujících pohlaví u hadů a příbuznými tématy.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of the thesis is to summarize current knowledge on the evolution of sex determination and sex chromosomes in snakes. It will focus on the evolutionary rate of genes linked to sex chromosomes, on the evolution of recombination cessation in sex chromosomes, dosage compensation, sex-determining genes in snakes and related topics.
