Preliminary scope of work

Cílem práce bude prozkoumat morfologii a motilitu spermií u několika blízce příbuzných druhů astrildovitých pěvců rodu Lonchura a testovat zda případné rozdíly v morfologii a motilitě spermií mezi druhy mohou hrát roli v postkopulační prezygotické izolaci mezi druhy.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The aim of this work will be to investigate sperm morphology and motility in several closely related species of astridle songbirds of the genus Lonchura and to test whether minimal differences in sperm morphology and motility between species may play a role in postcoupling presygotic isolation between species.
