Preliminary scope of work |
Prubeh: kompletace literatury, studium deponovaneho materialu - mereni, foceni, terenni vyjezdy (lom je ca 40 km) a detailni studium in situ, statistika, interpretace |
Preliminary scope of work in English |
The bivalve association within the OAE2 reaches few (about 10) taxa in the Pecinov working quarry. Bivalves are preserved in situ (closed shell of infaunal species, butterfly position, isolated at the bed surface). The material is partly collected and stored in the National Museum Prague and Chlupac´s muzeum of Earth history (Faculty of Science). The section has recently been described in great details and divided into ammonite and inoceramid zones, and accurately corelated with the global C13 curve. The aim of the thesis is to investigate interaction between bivalves and oxic/anoxic condition changes within the OAE2 in the section, to make a quantitative analysis and as well as to interpret bathymetric conditions. Process: literture compilation, investigation of collected material - measuring, photo, field trips to the quarry (40 km far from Prague), bivalves in situ detail study, statistics, interpretation |
