Preliminary scope of work
K týmto svätcom sme tiež zaradili osoby bez oficiálnej hagiografie či doloženého svätorečenia - biskup Maurus, kráľ Šalamún a veľkomoravský panovník Svätopluk. Pri jednotlivých svätcoch skúmame ich život, vývoj kultu, vznik hagiografie, okolnosti svätorečenia, kde sa snažíme pozmeniť doterajšie názory na problematiku vlastnými hypotézami.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The dissertation aims to examine and analyze the cults of the oldest Hungarian saints - a group of people who were canonized in 1083: Hungarian King Stephen, his son Emeric, Bishop Gerard, monks Zoerard-Andrew and Benedict, joined in 1192 by King Ladislas . Among these saints we have also included persons without official hagiography or documented canonization - Bishop Maurus, King Solomon and the Great Moravian monarch Svatopluk. For individual saints, we examine their life, the development of the cult, the emergence of hagiography, the circumstances of the canonization, where we try to change previous views on the issue with our own hypotheses.
