Cílem práce je shrnout současné poznatky o možné roli gliových buněk v neuroprotekci. Pozornost bude věnována mj. problematice excitotoxicity a neurotoxicity, včetně uvedení patofyziologických příkladů.
Preliminary scope of work in English
The aim of this thesis is to summarize our current knowlegle about the role of glia in neuroprotection. Among others, attention willl be paid to excitotoxicity and neurotoxicity, and some patophysiological examples will be described.
