Preliminary scope of work

Kolorektální karcinom neboli rakovina tlustého střeva je nejčastější nádorové onemocnění v České republice. Retrospektivní analýzy pacientů s kolorektálním karcinomem vedly a stále vedou k objevu nových biomarkerů, které mohou mít význam v léčbě, predikci či prognóze karcinomu. Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo popsat dosud objevené povrchové proteiny (biomarkery) u nádorů kolorekta, které korelují s progresí nádorů, metastatickým potenciálem, prognózou pro pacienta a možnosti jejich využití jako cílových molekul na nádorových buňkách pro teranostické účely.

Preliminary scope of work in English

Colorectal cancer is the most frequent cancer in the Czech Republic. Retrospective analysis of patients with colorectal cancer have led and still lead to the discovery of new biomarkers that may be important in treatment, prediction or prognosis of cancer. The main aim of this thesis was to desribe discovered cell surface proteins (biomarkers) of colorectal cancer, that correlate with colorectal cancer progression, metastasis and patient outcome, and discusses the possibilities of their utilization as cancer cell targets for theranostic purposes.
