Preliminary scope of work

Diplomová práce se zaměří na řádovou premonstrátskou liturgii, konkrétně na oficium sv. Norberta, jeho vznik, vývoj, strukturu a uplatnění v rámci řádového liturgického roku.
Tuto liturgickou úctu charakterizuje spojení již s počátkem řádu, v průběhu vývoje norbertinské úcty se však setkáváme od 12. do 17. století se značnou proměnlivostí (připomínka, triumf, přenesení). Slavení vlastního norbertinského officia se posléze odráží na vzniku tzv. officia parva, officia votiva a antifony ke svatému Norbertu. Základem pramenného bádání budou jednotlivá vydání římského a premonstrátského breviáře a zvláště pozdější vydání breviáře od 16. do 19. století. Pro celkové srovnání práce zohledním také sekundární zdroje k historickému vývoji liturgie (př. Analecta praemonstratensis, Manuale liturgicum) a rovněž kritický životopis sv. Norberta (vita A, B) s jeho specifiky.
Tato diplomová práce by měla přispět k hlubšímu poznání problematiky officia ve strahovském premonstrátském kontextu a také by mohla poukázat na širší tradici, z níž vychází dnešní slavení norbertinské slavnosti, přenesení ostatků sv. Norberta a připomínka v podobě officia ke svatému Norbertu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

This thesis will focus on the liturgy of the Premonstratensian order, in particular, the Office (Officium) of St. Norbert, its origin, development, structure and implementation in the context of the liturgical year of the order.
This liturgical devotion is characteristic for the order since it early beginning, however, in the course of development of this Norbertine devotion we can see considerable variability in the period of 12 -17 centuries (commemoration, triumph, transfer). The celebration of the Norbertine office itself is then reflected in creation of the so-called Officium parvum, Officium votivum and antiphons in honor of St. Norbert.
As the basis for source research, the single editions of the Roman and Premonstratensian Breviary will serve, in particular, the later editions issued in the period of 16 -19 century.
I will also take into consideration the secondary sources of the historical development of liturgy (e.g. Analecta Praemonstratensis, Manuale liturgicum), as well as the critical biography of St. Norbert (Vita A, B) with its specifics.
This thesis should contribute to deeper understanding of the Office in the context of Strahov Premonstratensian Order. Furthermore, it should point to the broader tradition that underpins the current celebration of Norbertine feasts, transfer of the body of St. Norbert and commemoration in the form of an Office to St. Norbert.
