Preliminary scope of work

Práce přibližuje po ikonografické stránce pohled na Dürerovu Apokalypsu s ohledem na soudobé historické události a vliv významných osobností určujících dobu pro vznik díla. Kritika pramenů autorů zabývajících se dříve tématem Apokalypsy je zde prezentována v kontrastu k soudobému nahlížení na danou problematiku. V práci je kladen důraz mimo jiné i na Dürerovy myšlenky sepsané v denících a na ohlas jeho díla v očích jeho současníků. V závěru práce je prezentovaná koncepce podání Apokalypsy jako programového díla pro přicházející nástup nového vyznání – protestantismu.

Preliminary scope of work in English

The work draws the sight nearer to Dürer´s Apocalypse from the iconographics point of view, with respect to the historical events and influence of prominent people determining the times when the work was created. Review of bibliography of the autors who dealed with the topic of Apocalypse in the past is presented here in contrast with contemporary view of this topic. In this work empahasis is given besies other things on Dürer´s thoughts written in his diaries and on response of his work in the eyes of his contemporaries. The conclusion of the work deals with interpretation of The Apocalypse as a planned word for the forthcoming new confession - Protestantism.
