Preliminary scope of work
Preliminary scope of work in English
Priming in plants is usually described as a better readiness for the second (and/or subsequent) stress period(s) after the plant already got through one stress period, which means that plants are somehow able to "remember" their previous exposure to unfavourable environment. However, molecular mechanisms of this phenomenon are still mostly unknown. Recently, an increasing evidence suggests that this type of plant "stress memory" could be associated with chromatin modifications and thus be mitotically transmissible. This Bachelor´s thesis should summarize the data available on this topic in scientific literature.
