| Kostel Panny Marie. Nejstarší sakrální stavba na Pražském hradě. Kostel Panny
Marie pochází z konce 9. století. Je současně druhou nejstarší sakrální stavbou v Čechách. Kostel Panny Marie je přímo spjat s panovnickým rodem Přemyslovců, počátkem českého státu a počátky christianizace v Čechách. Až v polovině 20. století se zjistilo, kde přesně kostel stál. Zdrojem informací o kostelu Panny Marie jsou písemné a archeologické prameny. Z písemných pramenů jsou významné především legendy a Kosmova kronika. Právě zprávy o kostelu Panny Marie zapsané v písemných pramenech dopomohly k jeho lokalizaci na Pražském hradě. Následující archeologické výzkumy umožnily rekonstruovat podobu zaniklého kostela Panny Marie. |

| Church of the Virgin Mary. The oldest religious building at the Prague Castle.
Church of the Virgin Mary dates from the late 9th century. It is simultaneously the second oldest religious building in Bohemia. Church of the Virgin Mary is directly related to the royal family Premyslid, beginning of the state and the beginnings of Christianity in Bohemia. Until the mid-20th century to determine exactly where the church stood. The source of information about the church of the Virgin Mary are written and archaeological sources. The written sources are particularly relevant legends and Cosmas. It reports on the Church of the Virgin Mary recorded in written sources helped to localize at the Prague Castle. The following archaeological investigations allow to reconstruct the form of the defunct Church of the Virgin Mary. |
