Doctor Congreve is kind and pleasant teacher, always ready to answer questions or repeat some unclear parts of the lecture. However, his lecturing was based on (almost word by word) copying his lecture notes that had a form of continuous text. Also, he wrote very fast and his handwriting wasn't one of the easily readable ones, and as English is his first language, it was sometimes difficult to fully understand him. All of that resulted in lectures that weren't very capturing and were quite hard to follow or even understand. Therefore asking questions was hard for me personally because I usually felt I didn't grasp much of the lecture to know even what to ask.

On the other hand the exam was a pleasant conversation, the teacher was very eager to help if needed and didn't require difficult technicalities.

In my opinion It would be useful to show more examples as one can easily be engulfed in all the abstract theory and lose perspective. Also I would appreciate much more practical examples in the practicals to this course. For me it wasn't sufficient to show one, in that case it was then quite hard for me to complete the homework afterward.
