The pace of the lecture is really fast, but Liran also includes a fair lot of examples and also bits of "big picture intuition".

Really interesting material, most of the content is densely interconnected, with the exception of the Morita theory part.
I enjoyed the final project instead of an exam, working on it over a period of times gives me personally a better and more lasting understanding of the subject than learning for an exam. The structured nature of the project also keeps one from getting really lost; though it is true that the overall amount of work is probably substantially greater than one would prepare for an exam. Also, the project covers only certain topics from the lecture, being a particular application of homological algebra to commutative algebra.
