Prof. Cipra is a very prepared teaching professor. The quality of his lectures is high. He cares to transmit his knowledge to students. He's always on time. He's always available to answer students questions and tries his best to accommodate Erasmus students requests.
Sometimes it's not easy to understand what it's written on the blackboard or what he's saying, but only sometimes.

He tries to be helpful and is generally looking for knowledge in students. His English is not great which makes the communication a bit more difficult, but all the important info is communicated clearly.

Summer semester 2025. Excellent course about Financial and Insurance mathematics, with a strong focus on the mathematical procedures and the application to real-life problems. A very well organized course with the possibility of a written test (pre-exam) based on the examples illustrated in class. The majority of the topics of the syllabus were covered, maybe the Insurance-mathematics part was a bit sacrificed. Possible improvement: sharing a PDF file or a PP presentation about the topics of the course.

A nice overview of problems found in financia and insurance mathematics that are used in many courses across MatFyz, IES and VŠE. The exam is not difficult, all the examples in it are covered in class beforehand.
