Just one idea concerning the questions during the presentation at the beginning: if nobody answers (students are sometimes too shy or lazy to answer) maybe sometimes give them options and make the students vote for the option which they think is correct. Potentially even by a very brief discussion (maybe 30 seconds) within their group.
