Předběžná náplň práce

Práce se zaměřuje na změny angolského politického směru v polovině 20. století. Poskytuje vysvětlení přechodu z vlivu Portugalska v Angole, zejména na sovětské Rusko. Práce také seznamuje čtenáře s historií Angoly před a krátce po získání nezávislosti. Jádro práce tvoří analýza zahraniční politiky prováděná prostřednictvím modelové aplikace, která pomohla hluboce porozumět logickým rozporům ve zmíněné změně. Model zahrnuje analýzu potenciálu státu prostřednictvím neoklasické geopolitiky a využívá geopolitické faktory jako systémové podněty a vnímání a kapacity geopolitického agenta za účelem provádění analýzy zahraniční politiky. Diskutuje se o motivacích a ideologii předních osvobozeneckých hnutí MPLA, FNLA a UNITA s cílem poskytnout zasvěcený pohled na politický design státu.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

The thesis focuses on the pivot in Angolan political direction in the middle of the 20th century. It provides an explanation to the switch from Portugal’s influence in Angola to Soviet Russia in particular. The thesis introduces the reader to a background of history of Angola before and shortly after the independence. The core of the thesis consists of a foreign policy analysis performed through model application, which helped profoundly understand the logical inconsistencies in the mentioned shift. The model includes state’s potential analysis through neoclassical geopolitics and uses geopolitical factors as systemic stimuli and the geopolitical agent’s perceptions and capacities in order to perform the foreign policy analysis. The motivations and ideology of the leading liberation movements MPLA, FNLA and UNITA are discussed in order to give an insider view of the state’s political design.
