Předběžná náplň práce

Práce se v první části věnuje definici slova genocida a jeho vnímání a významu v současné době i v historii, přibližuje vznik a vývoj tohoto slova a přináší tak cenný vhled do této problematiky. Ve druhé části přibližuje okolnosti Polské akce provedené NKVD na konci 30. let a v poslední části se věnuje aplikaci definic z části první na zmíněné události. Výsledkem této práce je nejen přiblížení málo známé části stalinských represálií, ale také analýza toho, zda tyto represálie naplňují význam slova genocida a jaký dopad to může mít na současnost.

Předběžná náplň práce v anglickém jazyce

The thesis is divided into three main parts. In the first part it researches the emotions the word “genocide” may instigate, the history and codification process of this word in the international law and the relation between genocide and modernity. In the second part the thesis focuses on the historical context of the Polish operation and the “Great Purge” and presents the exact numbers of the dead and persecuted. The third part than uses the selected definition to answer the research question.
