Zásady pro vypracování

This thesis will analyze the government policies regarding uncontacted primitive peoples and the results of them. This would mean an analysis of different laws in different countries and regions over time, focusing primarily on Latin America and the Indo-Pacific, and what the intent and results of those laws are in respect to their effect on uncontacted indigenous peoples. Examples of policies towards the indigenous peoples would include previous Brazilian policies of forceful contact and assimilation, compared with their current policies of almost absolutely no-contact, and the very recent cases of contact with indigenous peoples in Papua. Case studies of the effects of laws and contacts with primitive peoples would include the more famous North Sentinelese of India who live on an isolated island and are given a very protected status, the Yanomami of the Amazon Basin who are one of the largest uncontacted and semi-contacted tribes who live across multiple jurisdictions, and the peoples of the New Guinea Highlands who were not even discovered until the 1940s and are perhaps the most isolated uncontacted peoples.
The purpose of this is to learn about the ethical intentions of the different policies and what their practical effects are, such as if the policies successfully allowed them to retain their traditional way of life, or if it ruined them (such as through diseases or economic means), or managed to allow them to integrate with civilized society, or had some other effects, and how these policies developed over time.
