Předběžná náplň práce

Tato práce analyzuje rozhodovací proces prezidenta Obamy v průběhu Libyjské revoluce v roce 2011. Za použití Bureaucratic Politics Model Grahama Allisona se zaměřuje zejména na členy prezidentského poradního sboru a různé způsoby jimiž tito poradci ovlivnili konečné rozhodnutí. Hlavní snahou se rozkrýt vztahy mezi vývojem situace na frontových liniích Libyjské revoluce a dynamicky se měnícími spojenectvími mezi jednotlivými členy Obamovy administrativy. Zohledněna je také role Evropských a Arabských spojenců, kteří také sehráli výnanou roli v přesvědčení prezidenta Obamy k velmi necharakteristickému kroku.

This thesis analyses the decision-making process of President Obama throughout the Libyan revolution of 2011. Using the Bureaucratic Politics Model by Graham Allison, it focuses on the members of the president's advisory team and various means those advisors influenced the president's decision. The main effort is to describe the intertwining development on the Libyan frontlines and dynamically changing coalitions among the individual officials of the Obama administration. The role of European and Arab allies is also taken into account as the influence of allied nations significantly impacted the uncharacteristic decision of President Obama.
