Předběžná náplň práce |
The proposed PhD thesis is aimed at establishing the relation between zeolite topology, pore architecture, location of acid sites in micropores of variable size and activity/selectivity of the catalysts in relevant Brønsted- and Lewis-acid catalysed reactions. To reach the goal of PhD thesis - ADORable zeolites of different topologies (i.e., UTL, IWW, UOV) and chemical composition (e.g., Al-, Ti-, Sn-, Zr-substituted metallosilicates with variable Si-to-metal ratios) will be prepared and explicitly characterized using a combination of techniques (e.g., XRD, N2 adsorption, SEM, TEM, ICP-OS, solid-state MAS NMR, among others). - Nature, concentration, strength and distribution of acid sites between micropores, mesopores and the external surface in ADORable zeolites will be addressed using FTIR spectroscopy of adsorbed probe molecules (i.e., ammonia, alkyl pyridines, acetonitriles). - The activity, selectivity, stability of ADORable zeolites will be assessed in Brønsted and Lewis acid-catalyzed reactions in relation to the features of incorporated acid sites, focusing on the comparison with conventional zeolites. |
