Při výběru garanta předmětu se zobrazují připomínky jak k němu, tak ke všem vyučujícím daného předmětu. Při výběru vyučujícího, který garantem není, se zobrazují připomínky vztažené pouze k němu.
The lecturer had his speeches every time very well prepared and thought out. He gave attention to us, students, and gave us time to think whenever there was something more complicated. Lectures were full of example questions from his side and were enjoyable to attend.
Přednášející uměl vše dobře vysvětlit a byl i vtipný. Kladl důraz na pochopení látky. Dává často jen ideu důkazu a očekává, že si důkaz student zvládne dodělat sám. Byla s ním dobrá domluva.
Výborný přednášející, dobře vysvětluje i motivuje různé koncepty. K přednáškám jsou poznámky a přednášky jsou strukturované tak, aby člověk nemusel myslet na to co si zapsat a mohl se soustředit na pochopení látky.

The students were given a set of problems to solve and the lecturer went around and helped everyone. In general the practicals really helped with understanding the material. Michael Kompatcher was very nice and helpful.
Michael Kompatscher is a very kind and understanding professor. He is always willing to take time to answer one’s questions and to explain something a second time. It is also very clear that Mr. Kompatscher likes universal algebra as it is one of his research subjects, and knows about it in depth.
He answers any questions and does not need to write everything in the most rigorous way if the subject is intuitive. The main downside of our lectures was the handwriting. There are only some presentation lecture notes for this subject and it was often hard to read what is written on the blackboard. So in some lectures most of our attention was on reading writing and correcting some errors from the blackboard. If there was some document with UA knowledge it wouldn't be necessary to write it down at all. The exam was also more about solving problems similar to what, we did in seminars (we did not know that beforehand but still good). Overall good teacher.

The exercises were always very useful to understand the lectures’ material, and the homework was both challenging and doable. This was a time-consuming (especially because of the homework) but interesting and well-prepared course.

Jedna z nejdůležitějších přednášek, kterou by si měl student struktur zapsat. Celý předmět buduje nadhled týkající se algebraických struktur, který je dobře přenesitelný, ať už se člověk rozhodne pro jakékoliv zaměření.
