This lecture was the only one that I can remember where attendance (at least among my friends) *grew* over the semester. We also noted that doing something else in parallel to the lecture was impossible. Take this for the praise it's meant to be :)
Prof. Wilkie is one of the best lecturers I've had the privilege of listening to. He combines the erudition of a foremost expert in computer graphics with experience from working all around the world, with the glee and excitement of a five-year-old showing you their favourite toy (and I mean that with utmost respect). With every sentence, you can hear the implied "can you see how cool that is???" and he's one of the few people it is genuinely hard NOT to pay attention to. His English is a delight to listen to and very comfortably understandable.

Jediné co bych mohl vytknout je méně poutavý projev, a (na grafika) celkem ošklivé prezentace, tak to je ale asi tak klasika. Naopak oceňuji výlet do laborky a odbočku k barevnému 3d tisku.

Prof. Wilkie has an incredible enthusiasm for the subject. I would appreciate it if he were a little more structured in his presentations. The fact that he talks quite quickly and/or quietly at times paired with him jumping between topics got me confused a number of times.
The exam was fair.
The lecturer presented the topics in a very digestible way, and explained them thoroughly and well. The course even included a tour of the colour lab in Trója, which put a lot of the topics into a practical perspective, and helped cement the knowledge.
The prof was very informative and wanted to tell as much as possible and shared his opinions and experiences with us which was really valuable.

A great overview talk that goes through many colour and light-related topics. I appreciate the unique mix of theory and practical views. Even though I was already interested in light, I still learned a lot.
I must say I really loved taking this course, it was definitely one of my favourites from my entire time at MFF. As an introductory course, it doesn't delve too deep into it's subject matter, as most courses here do, but rather covers a wide variety of topics, which makes it stay interesting and genuinely entertaining for most of the semester. At times, the topics may move a bit fast and it feels like a random assortment of cool facts, but I found it coherent enough to follow.
But a word of warning: After taking this course, you will see the world differently and you will become the life of any party with such insightful comments as "Have you seen the lights in here? They must have a very spiky spectrum, look at that guys sweater, you can really see the metameric effect here." or "What do you mean you don't know which ICC profile you used when you printed that photo? Don't you see how washed out those colours are??"

Několik částí bylo zajímavých, většina mi však přišla rozmázlá tak do šířky, až to o ničem nebylo. Jestli vás zajímá teoretický pohled na barvy a barevné prostory, tak to šlo. Dá se zapsat i v druháku spolu s základy pc grafiky. Zkouška není těžká.
This subject was very intriguing for me. Partly because color is strange and fascinating (although one usually takes it for granted) and partly because it is taught in a very engaging way.
A very interesting subject, which taught me a lot of practical knowledge. The topics were presented in an way that was easy to understand and easy to remember, due to how interesting they were.
Well structured subject.

I would love to hear more about color theory. For example, how to choose colors that look good together, how to create a color palette, what is color harmony, or about tints and shades.
